It will be interesting to watch the new Android platform over the next few years. Google put millions of dollars into the development of this wireless platform, and I’m pretty sure I know how they plan of getting their money back out of it.
Android has GPS built in capabilities, and google has spent the last few years really pushing the development of their local search programs. if you take those two programs and put them together, you have a brand new market of 2 billion worldwide cell phone users who are going to start getting local google ads sent to their cell phones.
Cell ads won’t be a bad thing, especially if your Google. Think about it, if you are driving down the street, and it’s almost lunch time, you could get a coupon from a pizza place flashed on your screen. If you go in and use it, then Google will get paid. Seriously folks, how much money can a company make if they have the market cornered on sending, on target, local, cell phone ads to consumers. If you don’t own Google stock, you might want to buy some now!
