Well, I used to sell a ton of Cleartel, then they pulled my website. I then sold it through CommissionRiver, but then Cleartel switched to selling local service to their business accounts only.

So, I'm not making anything any more either, especially when you figure how steep their customer drop off rate is. Also, since they have such high credit requirements, only about 1 in 4 of my signups actually became paying customers.

The companies with the best retention are Pioneer and Opex. I don't know if Unitel is paying their direct agents anymore, but they had pretty good retention too. But, they quit paying me over a year ago, and now owe me more than $20,000.00 in back commissions. They also had a crappy clause in their contract that actually made you pay back 10% more on bad debt than you had been paid.

If you are in a position to start rebuilding your business, I would do it with T1's and other dedicated services. The guys over at Telarus, who own the ShopforT1 comparison engine, have a free training program. Once you make it through, they will give you the leads that come in through their system and then you can work them. You also get most of the commissions for closing the sales, and you know you're going to get paid for years, because your customers sign contracts for the high speed, high dollar, stuff.

Greg
My <a href="http://shopfort1.com/affiliates.cfm?cogid=1wireless" rel="nofollow">ShopforT1.com</a> link if you're not already an agent with them.

You know, now that I think about this, it could be legit, since she could have been asked to dial an access code that would let others make long distance calls using her phone number...

We used to get stuff like that a lot, but it doesn't hit the news very much any more.

I tried to add my affiliate link to the CJ.com address, but they don't offer that option anymore, unless I was just looking in the wrong place. If any of you Uber-affiliates know how to do that, so I get credit for agents signing up with Commission Junction, please drop me a line.

Thanks,
